I got some gel coat from my uncle who does fiberglass work, but for some reason or another doesnt like to help me out with tips and tricks. I think he thinks im going to steal his work or something idk. I am finally running out and wanting to buy some. He gets his in large quantities so I got it in a new container that had zero info on it. This now makes me realize that I dont know that much about gel coat. What is the difference between them. There is tooling gel coat and then epoxy gel coat? Is gel coat necessary for molds or can you just use resin as a first layer. I know this is pretty broad. I see in some posts that like some resins you need a wax additive for it to truly dry.
