Until now I'm confused to go with mould and make it with CF or  enough with skinning it with CF

Not easy to tell from the pictures but from what I can see you are looking at a split mould. You have to be sure that you can remove the part from the mould once it has cured. If there are any returns/ undercuts in the original they can cause mechanical lock between the part and the mould. You need to carefully go round the part and identify any areas that will cause release issues.
The other thing to remember is that those types of lip spoilers are usually VERY flexible when off the car. You need to make sure it is still the correct shape before moulding otherwise the new part may not fit properly. A CF part won't have the same flex as the original.

I would say exactly the same as Wojtek... CF is not an easy thing and it is maybe better to start with smaller parts and test a lot befor you start with big carparts Smile
p
When I wanted to make my first mould I had no idea about resins,  reinforcements, I used shoe polishing paste as release agent and instead of resin I used gelcoat so I had mould made completely out of gelcoat and woven glass <fail> but now I have means and knowledge to create whatever I want. It took me 2 years and 600euro of wasted wasted materials.

Hi
At the beginning you should know everything about composites in THEORY,  watch all videos, browse this forum for some tutorials, then buy starter kit from easy composites.  For ex mould making kit, some epoxy and some cf cloth.  Try and error method is your friend, you have to get experience on small moulds.  I tried 7 times before I managed to produce some nice parts.  Before doing anything read as much you can.

Hi All ,

just thought I'd pop in and introduce myself , I live in Saudi Arabia which is far away from UK Crying .I'm interested to make some carbon fiber parts to my car. I found Easy Composites is my way to achive it . w00t

I have white Nissan maxima 2012 . i've install Polyurethane Front Lip Spoilers & Rear Diffuser .

I have painted the Front Lip Spoilers with white color and the rear diffuser is still polyurethane unpainted .

I have never done any CF work before , thinking of making them carbon fibre . So what do you think do i need to start up my project ? Materials , Equipment etc . and how i will use them . Satisfied
