Hi Dave,
I went last year. It's an excellent show, it really is huge and pretty much all of the large manufacturers are there. It's very much a business-to-business affair with a lot of the companies being a long way up the supply chain (i.e. companies that make certain monomers that then get used in resin manufacture that then gets turned into something you could actually use yourself!) but you'll also see lots of very nice composites on peoples' stands. Generally, the parts on show will always have been made by a customer of the company who's stand you're on and so don't get to ask 'how did they do that' because the people who made it aren’t there or wouldn't tell you but it's still interesting to see so much all in one place.
You can just about see it all in a day. If you're there on business, i.e. talking to poeple or arranging meetings then you'll need a couple of days but if you're just 'browsing' then I think if you start early a day should do it.
Tickets are free so long as you pre-register.
One last word just in case you were expecting anything different; there is nothing for sale at the show, all the stands are b-2-b exhibitions, not stalls/stands. You'll come away with a thousand brochures and maybe a couple of biros in an assortment of carrier bags but nothing else.
Paris of course is an amazing place and I always tag a day one side or the other to spend in the city!
