I want to create a carbon-fibre intake hose for my car but I haven't found the propert material and operation for creating the mould and the part.
The intake hose is a plastic pipe with a diameter of about 80 mm which unfortunately is not straight but it has a complex shape. I am between two choices,
1st: 2 moulds using epoxy mould-making puty. The one mould will create the half face of the pipe and the second, the other one. Then, I will connect them with a propert glue and by drilling some holes and using some screws.
2nd: 2 moulds made using the uni-mould kit... (same logic)
the 1st one seems better for me as it is easier (for a complex shape) and gives me a help in creating the right places for the screws...
As a material for the part itself, I consider using the infusion method with the classic Carbon Fibre 2/2 Twill 3k 200g for first layer and then adding a core material (SF infusion core) and a Kevlar protective Textile because the part has to be strong and heat-proof.
Any comments-sugestions?

If you can share a pic It will be easier to make an idea of the part...
