I used one my friend, and mould maker, made with several 3kw heating elements and a steel lined but fully insulated case... It has ramp and dwell controller too... I am planning make my own later this year with a more up date controller. He has given me guidelines on what I need and how to make it... I have a freezer here now so all I now need is my oven....

Can I ask you what type of oven you use, for those big parts? I asume you don't have an autoclave? Btw awesome job and thanks for sharing!

No problem.. I was not too happy with the pin holes with the sample I had.. But the clarity was good.... I just hope it is close to VTF now.. I have used SHD's materials too... I used it for a test then for back up material. It works perfectly as a back up material and is cheaper than V TF but the last few times I called I didnt get a quote so I am planning on using PRF more for back up at least and surface if it works well.

Keep me up to date on prf pre preg,I use there materials,I must say there quality is the best I've used,all there carbon is certified,you'll have to let me no what prices they quote you they do vary.

Yes... He was one of those people who inspire people like us..... My seat/tank is a self supporting monocoque, but I wouldnt have done it had it not been for John Britten.

I made my first monocoque sub frame 3 years ago,so I no how much work goes into it,that was for gsxr1000 k2,I just bought 03 r1,which is starting to follow similar path this time trying to ride rather than turn into a full project bike,Ive only just realised how John Britten was so talented,I think when he was using carbon he did not have any vaccum equipment,just wet lay up pretty impressive. 

It was a sample I tried when I made my first ever part..... I now use VTF but I am trying some from PRF next week for a different job for a customer... Seems I now have another job making parts not just building bikes.... haha...

I will let you know how it goes.... But at the moment VTF is the best material for cosmetic pre-preg..

Great work what pre preg are you using from prf.
