Goodmorning everybody,

I would like to know which are the points to bear in mind when chosing a vacuum pump for vacuum bagging. The surface is about 1 - 1.5 spm and would like to have the possibility of vacuum bagging more than one parts at a time (manifold?). Thank you for your advices.

Kind regards,

Jose A.

This one is fine:

You can daisy chain bags, but to make a manifold, its very easy.
Get a length of thick box section, weld 2 end plates on it, drill some holes on one side (however many you need), then tap the holes to fit 1/4" BSP male hydraulic quick release couplings. You can buy couplings for pennies from Parquip. I want to make the whole bottom of my oven one large manifold/vacuum chamber so I can switch off the pump while curing parts, and the chamber will pull all the bags down.

Here's my small DIY manifold, took half an hour to make from scrap metal and about £5 worth of couplings.
