Hallo guys,

I would like to post here some pictures of the little works I've made...

I started reading this forum in dicember and buying some materials (never did any kind of composite before) since I wanted to do some parts for my bike and now I'm having my first pieces made..  I must say I really like those few seconds when you are demoulding and look forward to see if the piece is OK!!!

I would like to thank you all since without this forum it would not have been possible..! Thank you to people sharing and thank you to EC setting up this forum!

THis is the first carbon piece, an Hanger Bracket for the akrapovich exhaust, made by infusion and painted with 2K clear:

And this is an FG lower fairing, made from the original of the Aprilia RSV4 and modified for the Tuono V4R which hasn't got the lateral full fairing..
The part is painted with the original color, then I put on stickers and painted with 2K clear..

and this is mounted on the bike..

Other parts will come soon!!

WOW is all I can say. It just doesn't seem fair that I had to learn everything the hard way with lots of fails before I got to making parts like this. Oh well that's life. Good instruction from experience is the key to skipping grief in the learning process. Well done grasshopper!!.

Thank you Warren!

The hanger mount is a little bit thinner than the original, but it seems to be ok... I only used the bike once after mounting!

The part is 4 layers: CF200gr/CF400gr/1mm (pressed) core material/CF400gr...

Now I made another one, 6 layers: CF200gr/CF400gr/1mm (pressed) core material/CF400gr/1mm (pressed) core material/CF400gr...
It's much thicker... maybe too much.... I'll post photos!
