Hi there,

I'm using your starter kits to teach myself the some of the techniques involved in composite materials. I've got as far as complex moulds that require a vacuum - but I also want to try resin infusion in the future.

So - (and apologies if this is a daft question!) can I do vacuum bagging with the resin infusion kit? I see from the contents there is a large degree of commonality between the kits, as I would expect, but is there anything I require or that you would recommend I got in addition to the infusion kit to do straight bagging?

Thanks and best regards,

In terms of bagging stack, you are missing Release Film Perforated  which you can easily buy seperately.

You would ideally also need a
SMC Lossless Vacuum Regulator as it would make things much easier to regulate the vacuum pressure, although some do successfully vacuum bag without one.

Realistically if you already have the full resin infusion kit then you will find it just as easy to have a go at resin infusion.

Thanks for the reply Warren.  I was asking because the moulds I currently have are rather small and a full on infusion setup just for a couple of 10 inch square moulds seems overkill!

Seems like a good excuse to move up to some the larger things I want to make....
