Has anyone had any success putting graphics under epoxy.

I noticed TomDesign had done some with AMG stickers. I tried this once with prints on clear laminate and it went so wrong i gave up. The laminate floated to the top of the coating resin becoming unstuck from the layer beneath. the print faded in colour.

TomDesign during skinning stuck his stickers directly onto rough (120?) sanded resin and then coated... does the resin seep under and hide the scrtach marks , doesnt that lead to the sticker coming unstuck and "floating" as it did with me .

Id love to put my logo under my last layer of coating resin ... any tips ?

BTW i tried rice paper ... not much joy there ... again printing and sticking issues ...

thanks

Ben

I have used a number of different things as logo, text or graphics under epoxy coating resin, I have only had very few problems ... hmmm

I used labels printed with a Brother P-touch  .. I've used graphics laserprinted on to self-adhesive paper... I've used old fashion rub on "transfer letters", ordinary printed stickers ...  even embroidered badges, normally used for sewing on to clothing ...

I normally cut away all the "clear" parts of stickers or "transfers" since i have seen differences in the colouring or not getting a clear, clean look of the CF under the stickers.

I coat all labels, logos or stickers with a thick coat of resin. often the parts get clear coated as well.
