Thanks Guys! Totally had to learn this the hard way. I make a mold clean it out and pressure test that thing overnight.

Is there any way to get over the pain of throwing a seemingly good mold???  Because of a minor leak that just cant be found???

Or is there any way you suggest finding this type of leak?

If its your mould thats leaking then a simple solution is sand down any sharp edges, then envelope bag it.   Doesnt matter if there is a leak in the mould then as the whole thing is wrapped in bagging film.

Yes I would of like to of done this a few times but when your going for the new stlye mold, usually I make a rough wooden csae to hold it and its epoxied in lol, the whole case has screws and splinters all over it, to much of a pain to sang and fix all that.

Bottom line is if you wnat to get it done right make your mold right from the start or it will be an uphill battle...

Need a cup gun!

So, you're saying that this is caused by the resin being pulled out for too long after the resin feed has been shut off?

pulling out too much resin is just one of the possible causes of pin holes or dry patches.

if you envelope bag your mould and make a single part like that then assuming you get a total seal IT SHOULD fill the micro hole in the mould with resin and be airtight in future.

My very first mould I made had a micro hole... I did a single envelope bag and now its sealed.
