For many people DIY filleting tools are just as effective. A tile grout smoothing tool or similar is popular as often they have a ball on one end as well as sharper edges for finer work.

For many, the easiest tool is the end of a finger!!! It might not be so precise but for most it is plenty good enough.

Hi Brasco
I have seen these tools before. It reminds me to get busy and make my own. I had planned to weld some different sized ball bearings on some stainless rod.

Matt

Good Idea! Spoons.

I suppose a round nosed butter knife would be useful too. I am going to check the kitchen drawer when my wife is out! Who knows how many fillet tools are in there.

well it is not that i am lazy or afraid to use my fingers LOL but many years of use, and how many do i have left in them? and nevermind
the cutting hazards of this type of work. just trying to preserve my hands( i ALWAYS take good care of them) and avoid any cuts. CF and sheetmetal
can be like working with machete's sometimes. and thanks for the other ideas as well.
