So I can use the catch pot to degas? What are the steps involved in doing so?

I tried to degas a different name brand of epoxy.(not what EC sells)

and at full vac it never stopped boiling out gas until I reduced the vac level.

Degassing Chamber is the way to go. 5-10 mins max and there will not be a single bubble in that resin. Crystal clear. Love it, definitely worth building or buying.

I built mine from an old aluminium pressure cooker, 25 mm Acrylic circular lid, vac gauge, two valves all joined by hydraulic connectors. You could use anything, but these are nice and handy cos they come in any size and type.

i just degased at home to repair like finger size place i mixed 12 gr i thought i be dead head spining and like from space

I didn't find degassing helping to reduce pin holes. How I got the pinholes to stop forming was to heat my mold up untill it was quite warm to the touch and made sure the resin was also warm. When I infuse the already warm resin hits the even warmer mold and lowers the vescosity even further and it infuses very well. You must also have a perfectly sealed vacuum bag. Let the resin travel out the vacuum line for a few inches and clamp it off then wait (I wait about 15 seconds) and then clamp off the resin feed line. results, a pin hole free part. Its the heat and perfect vacuum that made the difference in my parts. Now keep in mind that you don't overheat a large mold as your resin could gell too early.

The resin I ordered is the IN2 epoxy from EC I think it's shelf life is 50-60 min. How long does it take to degas in a vacuum chamber? How is degassing done?
