Hi,

I'm using a fast curing PU resin (pot life ca. 2 min) with a filler for casting, but my models contain some bubbles and air chambers. I'm looking to use a pressure pot to get smooth models, but I can't find any affordable version. Amazon US seems to have many of them, but I live in Europe and transport costs are too high. Does anyone know an affordable supplier in Europe? Because it is only a test project I’m not looking to spend too much money on it. It will only need to hold up for a couple of castings so premium quality is not necessary.

While I do not have a source for you i would like to mention that this is essentially a pipe bomb so premium quality is a good idea even if you use it only once. I would try to find a pressure pot for painting applications. Not exactly sure what they are used for, but I know this is an application for those pressure pots.
The 2 min pot life will likely be not enough to get everything done in time and i feel like you should be able to find another resin that will give you the results you are looking for without the pressure pot?

So far I haven't been able to find another resin that is suitable. I use this specific resin because it has a very low viscosity and therefore allows for enough filler to get to the right result. Other resins I used can't contain enough filler since adding too much filler will for itself lead to more bubbles too. Furthermore, the models have some thin parts that result in air chambres where no resin will come. I haven't been able to get this out by vibration.
