+x cojonlicu - 10/4/2020 11:38:56 PMHello. I am in need of composites kowhow to improve the upper limb prosthetic for congenital amputated girl (my daughter). Utter newbie, aware of the basics about composites but without any practical experience. Looking foward to get advise from experienced users and share my findings for disabled people to profit. The matter of issue is the sock that warps the forehad to hold a electrically driven mechanic hand on the edge. I'll try to start replicating this spiral with the idea of substituting the rigid sock decribed in the image. Any ideas, critics or thoughts are welcomed. Thanks.

+x Warren (Staff) - 10/5/2020 2:22:53 PMWelcome to the Forum! Sounds like a difficult project. The hardest part is going to be getting the right "inside" information on the best fabrics and layups for this kind of prosthetic. A lot of the medical orthotics companies are not so keen on sharing the specifics for commercial reasons so DIY'ers like yourself can sometimes struggle to get the info you need without a lot of practice and trial and error.
