I hope this isn't too much to ask but I should be starting work on my 4th project with the pattern being the largest and most complicated thus far.
I used the uni mould kit which comes with vinyl ester gelcoat, the coupling coat and finally the tooling resin. I think it's a good time now to delve a little deeper into the types and compatibility of gelcoats to resins etc.

I am aware that the coupling coat creates a medium that will prevent delamination of the gelcoat and fibreglass reinforcement.

What other options do I have to make a mould that will be compatible with epoxy resin used to make the composite part? Also, do all the resin work with fibreglass chop strand?

Or should I just stick to the uni mould system?

 Thanks.
