Kind regards Clint Hi Clint, I've recently purchased some resin infusion materials and slowly progressing to dabbling in carbon fibre resin infusion. The kit I purchased was from Easy Composites as they seem to have a great range of quality products but unfortunately, shipping dangerous goods is proving to be difficult which therefore looks to limit our choices in Australia. As I assume you've come across similar sourcing issues, I thought I'd touch base to see if you have any advice or whether you've found any Easy Composite Agents in Oz? Regards, Jason

All the best, Matt Hi Matt, I know I've asked this question some time over the past 12 months but can't remember who I addressed it to - it may have been someone from Easy Composites when I purchased the infusion kit. Q: Has Easy Composites been able to organize an Australian agent for their materials and equipment by any chance? It would be great to have access to your complete range of materials(including resins) as we seem to have to settle for second best over here. Maybe I haven't come across the right connections yet. As it stands there are quite a few territories where customers would like to buy our products but struggle to do so because of shipping, Australia being one of them. Unfortunately, setting up distribution, no matter how it's gone about, isn't straight forward in any territory with lots to consider and put in place and also lots of other opportunities competing for time and attention! Unfortunately, our local suppliers don't seem to offer the same level as what's offered in Europe. I get that too as we're obviously a smaller market. I guess all we can do is do our research and get by with the products available to us. Quick question for you: Is it true that if I want a clear resin infusion (carbon fibre), I should use epoxy resins as polyester resins set with a yellow tint? Regards, Jason.

Group: Administrators Posts: 2.5K, Visits: 8.5K	Depends on the quality of resin. A good quality infusion grade polyester resin should not look yellow. Same with epoxy. There are also other advantages to epoxy, especially in terms of mechanical performance, that mean often epoxy is far more commonly used for infusion for DIY parts. Not withstanding that, for mostly cosmetic parts, Polyester infusion resins often have the benefit of being UV stable which can be an advantage in hot and sunny climates as you would not then need to consider a UV stable lacquer that you might otherwise have to consider with an epoxy part.
