Hey guys,
im looking atm to understand how that look is archived. BMW does that for some Interior Parts of the M-Performance parts.
I know some smaller Companys who doing the same look aswell. As im pretty new to the Carbon Game i sadly dont know how i could archive a result like that.
Maybe you guys could help me with that! Smile

Here are some pictures of the parts:

It looks like the kind of weave texture you would get when a release film is pulled from a cured part.
In this case the back side of the part would be the moulded side, then finish the top surface with a suitable soft release film. It can then vacuum into the contours of the weave. Note you also need a release film that is more of a matt or satin finish rather than gloss.

To be honest, I'm tempted to say it looks like it might be a vinyl wrap or plastic imitation. I've seen BMW's real carbon in the flesh, and it doesn't look like that.
