Hi, i've got a problem on carbon skin. I start with premise that I have already made several pieces, various with transparent epoxy resin not well specified and many with the XCR, however always with excellent results.
This time i try to make a piece with the EL2 resin always from EC. It is a piece on which I have no great claims, it's for my garage, so i thought I'd try to do it with this resin and then give it a final coat of XCR just to finish it .
The problem is that after having given the three coats of resin and sanded everything with the 240, I find the piece, as you can see from the photo, full of tiny pinholes!
How did such a thing happen? I followed the usual steps of the EC skinning guide as always, but never has such a thing happened to me! Maybe 2 pinholes sometimes, stop, this piece It is completely full of them!
Is there any way to solve it?
The photos were taken after the piece was washed with soapy water.

The EL2 is not ideal for skinning so that wouldn't have helped but probably wouldn't explain all the pinholes.  The pinholes are trapped air. Take care when mixing the resin to fold it rather than stir so you entrap as little air as possible.  Also ensure you are working at 20C as the cooler it is, the thicker the resin and more air it traps.  If once you brush it on, you see some bubbles close up, gently waft a heat gun over the surface and it will pop the bubbles. Don't use too much heat as the resin will go runny and you don't want it all to drain off the part!

Thank you warren for the reply.
I know el2 isn't suggested for skinning, but the amount of pinholes it's crazy! I'm working every time in a room with a constant temperature of 22 C, and yes, i use already use a heat gun to pop the bubble, but this situation is very very strange, even because those pinholes are very tiny..boh, i don't know.
Is there any way to save my job? Or should I try to pull it away and do it from zero ?

Sand through the bubbles if possible then over coat with fresh resin.
