Hello!

Name is Kyle, have a certificate in composite fabrication I got in 2012 I worked at a smaller company before moving to a very large aerospace company. Both jobs were composites until my work at my new job decided they wanted me to do metal work. Lately I been having an itch to create some stuff, specifically I want to create a boat. I think there are some technical hurdles I need to figure but I think I can do it and do it properly.

For starters I want to answer the question of if it’s reasonable, then I need to figure out how to make an oven for high temp cures (250-300f). Never made a plug before or a mold but have used custom molds. Lots of hand layup experience especially with prepreg and autoclave curing. I seen now they have prepreg now that you don’t need to have it frozen which is amazing.

Anyways I’m just kinda ranting now haha

Check out the room temperature prepreg as I believe that it needs higher temps (around 180 deg C 360 deg F).
