Hello everyone,

I'm getting ready to make a mold of an engine cover and I wanted to know if its necessary to apply a gel coat prior to laying fiberglass or can I just make the mold with fiberglass and epoxy resin? I'll be doing vacuum infusion to make the mold. Thanks in advance!

I would highly ghly recommend not taking any shortcuts. It just doesn't pay off.
