I am using a CVT transmission which is exposed to all those watching it rotate at up to 7000 RPM , in the pits, whilst warming up.
There are many nuts, springs, aluminium bits which Could
fly out and injure someone.

I need to make a guard - an elongated 15 inch (380mm)  tube in two halves bolted together to surround the rotating parts - and am considering a Kevlar hand lay up construction or ? A Kevlar blanket used in drag racers is not easy to fit/locate.
How many layers of 200gm matting should I consider for optimum strength - which resin to use - any other advice.
I have fibre glassed replacement parts for a Marcos body so reasonably familiar with normal techniques.
Any advice appreciated.
Peter
