Hello,
I've had an obsessive desire to get into working with composites for years now but always put it off for other ventures in life.
Well now I've finally pulled the trigger and want to get my feet wet by starting out with resin infusion.
I have other fabricating skills such as welding, carpentry, machining, and so on so I feel being able to make custom carbon fiber parts is a reasonable goal to achieve.
This forum has a wealth of information on it and would like to learn from it as well as contribute when I can.
Thank you

Welcome to the forum!

Resin infusion is a good process if you are systematic in your approach.  The basic skills required are relatively easily learned and the skill of vacuum bagging will come relatively quickly too - it is the bit most people find most difficult to grasp.  Once you have that, as long as you are careful with your lay up and technique, it is quite possible to get good results relatively early on in your learning process.
