Hi Everyone,

I'm very pleased to announce that we're just starting to add details of a new selection of practical training courses to the Easy Composites website. The courses will be based in the new Easy Composites Training Centre (which we took the keys to yesterday!) and will start in February of next year.

The first course that we're offering is a 1-day intensive practical course on Epoxy Resin Infusion, it will focus on the techniques that we've shown in our recent videos, with plenty of solid theory and the kind of detail that's only possible in a hands-on course. Over the day we'll be making flawless carbon fibre parts, working with core materials, positioning reinforcement and really demonstrating good bagging technique. On all our courses we'll ensure there is plenty of time to discuss your specific projects and needs and it should even be possible to work with (or at the very least thoroughly discuss) your own moulds if required.

Anyone interested in coming on the course please click here:
Carbon Fibre Resin Infusion Training Course

We're working on our other courses at the moment and I'd be very keen to hear suggestions and input from forum members about what courses you'd be most interested in, preferred duration, dates and budget.

The courses we're working on at the moment (subject to change) are:
  • Out of Autoclave Pre-Preg Carbon Fibre
  • Pattern & Mould Making (including split moulds and speciality moulds)
  • Large-scale resin infusion (such as boat hulls, including polyester/vinylester infusion systems)
  • Specialist Composite Repair Techniques
If you're interested in any of the above courses then please get in touch or register your interest by visiting the product page for the resin infusion course and completing the 'Register your interest' form on the right hand side of the page.

I you have any suggestions as to other courses you would like us to offer then please post your comments here, I'd like to open a discussion and learn all I can about what people would be looking for in a course.

I look forward to hearing from you Smile

Matt

These seem a very good idea!!

I think these will be a hit for those starting out in infusion as although it is mostly technique, it really does help to have that hands on teaching by an expert to teach you "the knack" with doing things as often those annoying problems can be solved by being shown the right technique.

Id imagine the cost is well worth it for someone starting out when you consider the cost of wasted materials with expensive carbon soon adds up.

Its a shame i cant use my MoD funding on these courses LOL.
