Hi, I wonder if you can help me, I need to make a filler to put into a locks rebate. Once the door is closed the deadlock will rest Against the filler keeping it tight against the door seal.

The rebate is 6mm x 24mm x 60mm. What is the most suitable material to make this from? Will it stick to the steel rebate or will it become loose overtime? What would the longevity of this be with the deadlock rubbing against it daily.
