recently got a EC.4 vacuum pump and the first time I used it, the oil changes coller to a milky white after running for 5-10 min against a closed Catch-Pot to check everything was properly sealed and heald a vacuum . and I just changed the oil as I thought it was just moister build op it the vacum pump from storage. but after using it for a 4 infusion I notice the oil had chang coller again to a dark brown so I empty the pump oil, and noticed som small metal parts in the oil, and was curious if there is a problem with the pump ore it is just leftover from manufacturing that wasn't cleaned properly

White in the oil is definitely emulsification from moisture so replacement is the best bet if it does not naturally clear by itself.

A slight browning of the oil is normal with use.  However dirt may or may not be an issue. It is normal for the oil to pick up dirt over time - including potentially small amounts of metal particulates from wear and tear.   Is the pump running properly?  If it is I would check the oil again after some decent running time to see if it is the same. It may just be a tiny amount of swarf from running in or construction.  If you have lots more in future and/or a reduction in performance then there may be an issue.  If you are still having issues with the running of the pump then please let us know and we can look into it further and if needs be check it over under warranty.
