I am looking to polish a 3d printed part that has been carefully filled in and spray painted to a 2000 grit finish and then clear coat sprayed to a 2000 grit finish as well.

I did a test piece on a mold with this plug and I just need to get a little bit more polish on the finish.  Can I just go down to the auto store and grab something or is there a more preferred product you recommend.  I don't need a ridiculous mirror finish, I just need a hand polish better than the 2000 grit sand I did.

Also, what should I polish the part with? White cloth?
