Hi!

i shaped a piece of foam into tube form and  wrapped it with unidirectional carbon fabric and cured it in room temperature. i did it this way cause foam is soft and  i wanted to make the tube stiff enough to wrap the next layers easily. now i want to place 6 layers of prepreg over this part. i will use shrink tape for consolidating next layers.
now my question is, can i wrap prepreg layers over this part? most probably i will cure the prepreg at 90 degree Celsius. since the base layer is made by hand layup process, i want to know if it can stand such temperature or it will deform under temperature.

do i need to post cure the part first before wrapping it with prepreg? if yes in what temperature.

best regards,
hadi
