Hey guys,

Just a quick question as to whether I would need to add lacquer to a carbon skinned part that will be on the outside of the car, such as a grille, or whether the resin is "tough" enough on its own?

Tia

Yes for aesthetic parts i would definitely recommend a clear coat as to protect from UV radiation and moisture.

Ok xheche, is there specific clear coat to use or just something like normal clear lacquer?

For automotive applcaapplic i would use an automotive clearcoat. I'm using a 2k PU system from a local supplier. Not an expert on that stuff, just talk to the guys in the paint shop.
