Hello there everyone ! Quite a newbie in the CF scene but making progress overall. Sorry if I have started a thread maybe discused before but the forum is large. I have bought this steering wheel, cutted and did a flat bottom on it, reconstructed (not entirely yet) the thing and now the question is how I should cut and lay the fabric(using prepeg for this one) so I can close it in the back. It is possible in this “manual” method to hide the closing zone ?
Any kind of suggestion is more than welcome.

Thank you a lot !!

This one I did in pre preg.
Removed the old leather sections, cut a flat bottom through the rubber (but not the steel inside), wrapped in one layer 200g carbon with 45 degree fibre orientation with an overlap on the back side.
