I have castings made from mostly smooth on 300 resin and they are getting dirty from handling etc. Is there a recommended way of cleaning this material or resin general without harming the object?

As long as the resin is fully cured, then generally a clean microfibre cloth with remove finger print marks and loose dirt.  Any more stubborn marks should come off with warm soapy water.  Be careful to rinse and dry properly so you get no drying marks.
