Having made a plug and subsequent molds using the complete Easy Comp systems I pulled my first piece from them over the weekend, all looked good. Having looked at the mould surface prior to doing another about 30-40% of the surface has a slight texture, almost as if something has eaten into the gelcoat. Prior to laying up I applied and buffed 5 coats of mould release wax and 6 light airbrush coats of PVA release agent, cloth was 200g glass and resin was laminating epoxy with slow hardener. It was left for 48hrs before being pulled which happened easily.

Everything I've used has been bought from here so should be compatible so I'm assuming it's something I've done, any ideas?

Sounds like print through from your description, but without seeing it I'm only guessing. Can you post a picture?
