Hi,
I am looking at making a shelf from Yew that has a waney edge - well, it has a few, it’s been cut from close to the bark!
Anyway, I wan to make it flat so purchased some resin from here but as the wood isn’t flat, no amount of clamping has got it right. I used tape to try and seal the bottom but that didn’t work. I have now clamped it as tight to the melamine board as I can and I have used wax to fill the gaps.
I see on the tutorial that they pour their resin in 2, allowing 12 hrs between. I only need 30mm max, would I get away with that in 1 pour or should I still do it in 2, and if it is shallower, would my cure time be less?
I shall see if I can add a pic.....
