Hi folks, I need to attached 2 stainless steel davits to my boat's transom. Davits bottom section approx is 80x60cm with 6 bolts. Davits are 316 stainless.
tThe 2 davits need to support a small dinghy and engine so total weight including davits themselves is max 300kg.
I was going to laminate the attached black portion with a core from HD foam. What i'm having trouble figuring out is what type of glass and how many layers I need for such a piece?
I plan to drill and fill with thickened epoxy where the bolts will go through. Any guidance with regards to the number of layers and thickness of glass much appreciated.
Thanks
Michael
