after spotting andygtt's noble project on pistonheads, and his link to this site, i have spent most of the eve watching your tutorials and bonnet guide!
i run a motorsport fabrication company and currently have a porsche 944 turbo track project which i would love to produce some carbon products for!
who knows, if i get good enough at it then maybe it could be a service we can provide in the future
for the minute i just want to learn as much as possible on the methods and theory behind it all, and this forum is certainly a brilliant place for just that!
what im after at the minute is a basic explanation on the different methods of creating carbon products. i am very interested in the resin injection vacum kit, but can all items be produced in this manner, or are there more simple ways of creating some products.
also how would you produce simple flat carbon panels, such as doorcards etc, or do u supply carbon panels that just need trimming etc
the main things i am interested in producing would obviously be automotive products, such as bonnets, boots, rear 1/4 panels, front wings, doorcards, dashboards etc. do you supply sheet big enough to create such large panels using one sheet? or is there a way to use more than 1 sheet to create panels?
got lots to learn, but a quick introduction to the different methods etc would be much appriceated!
hopefully in the near future i will be in touch to tool up ready to get involved!
many thanks
nick
