I've recently finished my new X-winder filament winder. Think it might interest some of you  
Pretty cool finding use of some products from Easy Composites I wasn't able to properly use so far (carbonfiber tow, shrinktape)

Does look like a pretty cool machine.  Could have quite a variety of uses winding different specification and type of tubes. By spiral wrapping you could experiment with drive shafts and tubes depending on how much of an improvement you can get in torsional properties of the finished tubes.

I guess experiment with your technique to see how your finish comes out..
