Hi guys,

My question here is about vac bagging. I have done RTM, LRTM and hand laying up. I have been given a bonnet mold to make some parts from and I want to bag it down due to the sheer size of it and the material wanted (carbon). I have everything I need (except a clave) and have practiced on smaller parts successfully, but I am struggling to find a bag big enough and strong enough, thought I would be clever and use a mattress bag but it just ended up with tiny pin holes in! Ia there anything out bag wise? TIA

Just use a proper vacuum bagging film for the job. Typically they are a lay flat tube making them ideal for envelope bagging.

As warren says buy the correct material for the job, especially if you are making an expensive part from carbon.
