with composites, things are a bit more complex. you are looking for a tube with a high stiffness. I assume you are looking for a high resistance against bending. the other options would be high torsion stiffness or high internal pressure/ tangential stiffness. as I said, usually axial stiffness (bending) is required, but to give you a good answer, this should be cleared. if you are looking for high bending resistance, you should probably consider unidirectional/ pultruded tubes. but again, things are a bit more complex. pultruded tubes are not suited for every application. if you are looking for a number, you could assume the Young's modulus of a pultruded tube to be around 60% of the modulus of the used fibre. but only in case of bending.
