I am looking for a carbon fiber tube with a large Young's Modulus. Unfortunately lots of the carbon fiber tubes being sold don't seem to have this material property explicitly stated.
Can anyone direct me to something that i am looking for?

Thanks!

with composites, things are a bit more complex. you are looking for a tube with a high stiffness. I assume you are looking for a high resistance against bending. the other options would be high torsion stiffness or high internal pressure/ tangential stiffness. as I said, usually axial stiffness (bending) is required, but to give you a good answer, this should be cleared.
if you are looking for high bending resistance, you should probably consider unidirectional/ pultruded tubes. but again, things are a bit more complex. pultruded tubes are not suited for every application.
if you are looking for a number, you could assume the Young's modulus of a pultruded tube to be around 60% of the modulus of the used fibre. but only in case of bending.

If you need mechanical data including youngs modulus figures then I would look at our Roll Wrapped Carbon Fibre Tube as the manufacturer has tested the tube to get the figures. A lot of tube manufacturers do not have the data or use generic data.
