Good Morning,

I am interesting in peoples experience with making carbon fiber covers. Things like Battery box covers, Fuse box covers etc, I have made the molds and i am in the process of starting to lay the carbon fiber but my question is the standard plastic covers that i am recreating in carbon fiber have pretty intricate clips on them to attach to the relevant parts. How do people work around this? what options are there to create something similar so the new carbon fiber part fits and locks in place?

Regards,

Nick

Hi Nick,

Generally speaking the brackets are the hard part and you usually either fabricate  them, use an alternative fixing or use originals bonded into place.   It can require a bit of ingenuity. at times.
