Hello, i'm attempting to make some 3d stickers using the EL2 Laminating Epoxy, turns out this is the wrong resin. So I have brought some doming resin, however this isn't seeming to cure correctly.
My issue is i'm justing making this stuff in my bedroom, once everyone including myself it out of the house and at work the heating goes off and my room will not remain at 24 Degrees, it can go down to around 10 degrees I think sometimes for most of the day until everyone is home.

Now, i'm not too sure if anyone on here can answer this question, but my plan was to make a little box with a small USB heater in it, and a cut off circuit to turn the fan off once the air in the box hits 25 degrees, so it stays at that temperature, maybe then my resin will set!?

The question is, will the below product work within a USB powered circuit, so 12V, as it says on the product 240V.

N.C.KSD9700 Temperature Switch Control Thermostat Thermal Protector

I have brought this TINY fan, which should do the job as 25 Degrees isn't exactly that hot!

100W 12V PTC Heater Fan Air Heater

This question will relate to when I come to use the EasyComosites resin which I plan on using next year as I will have the same issue!

Thanks.

Unfortunately your setup is not going to work.
-first off, all usb gives out 5V, not 12V. Unless it is usb pd, wich can go up to 20V I think, but this needs a digital feedback from the power consumer, so no plug and play.
- secondly, usb only goes up to 3A, again, without negotiation with the power source. So you only get 15W out of a usb, without some sort of electronical device.
-the temperature switch will not wot work either.
-your electrical abilitys don't seem to me, that you should build a electrical heating device, and leave it unattended for hours.

If it is only for keeping it warm for some hours, a hot Water Bottle will suit your needs.

But if the resin doesn't cure during several days of 10h (or as long as you are at home) room temperature, there might be something wrong with your mixing ratio, anyways. Over one night at room temperature most resins will harden dry to the touch.

Yeah i'm no expert in electronics lol.

See the resin i'm using has a mix ratio of 1:1 by weight. I did weigh out both parts exactly the same, maybe I didn't mix it correctly.

Thanks for the reply

I would agree that if it has not gelled at all after a long time then something has gone fundamentally wrong with mixing or measuring.
