Would the rapid repair resin be a suitable product or would something like xencast P6 be more suitable to mix the milled CF powder with?

The area of damage will be under compression and is part of a 'washer' like pivot rather than a bearing containing surface, which was why I initially thought of the graphite filler to reduce friction against the repair section?

Depending where the damage is will determine how you do it.  If access is ok you have more choice. If the original was typical laid up carbon cloth, then ideally that is what you should repair it with as you will get a better match strength wise.  Alternatively resin mixed with carbon chopped strands as a paste would be a close second followed by milled carbon fibre in resin as a last resort.(milled carbon is better than graphite due to it being very short strands of fibre rather than a true powder).

In each case you need to build the repair up to the height of the original then, once cured, sand or machine it back to the correct  shape and size for the metal insert to be bonded in place.

Morning all

I'm looking to repair a damaged bearing surface on a carbon full suspension bike and was wondering about building it up with resin/epoxy to it's original level.

Could you suggest a product that would be suitable for this application please, I was thinking of a resin with graphite powder mixed in?

Many thanks
