I have a worktop/bench in my garden that is made of oak sleepers. I'd like to fill in the cracks and coat it with something protective. I'm thinking that an epoxy resin might be a good option. I was wondering if you could recommend a product? My concerns are that I need something with enough flexibility so that it doesn't crack as the wood swells and shrinks, but I'd also like to be able to sand it to end up with a smooth finish (preferably matt if possible). I'm afraid I'm completely new to using epoxy resin like this as my only experience is performing a couple of small repairs to a windsurfer.
Thanks,
Stephen
