Greetings!
I have a mould....and a plug for that mould.
As I'm prototyping and experimenting with my canoe building, I'd like to use the mould for vacuum infusion. It was built for hand layup and so has no flange.
I'm thinking of putting a temporary (botched) flange onto the mould so that I could at least try the idea out before investing in the time and materials for a new mould.
I'm contemplating sticking a polypropylene flange around the outside but am wondering what to do at the joint. Has anybody done anything similar? If I make the flange to sit on top of the current mould edge, can I make good the join with wax? Do I need to do something better?
All suggestions welcome.
Thanks.
