So....

I own a Toyota Soarer JZZ30 Single Turbo Conversion 1JZ goodness.

I want to change basically everything to either Carbon or Kevlar/Carbon Hybrid

Ill be using Vacuum Infusion to make all my parts as i dont have the space for a big autoclave.

It already has a Vertex Wide Body Ridge kit and plan to change all of this from the fibreglass,

Plan to make various aero parts mostly for cosmetic use as it's not a full on racecar ( Yet... )

Thought i would share a few pics and would love to hear some feedback or ideas and general guidelines to make this into a monster of composites.

Nice looking car, are you using it for drifting only?
If you are going to be repalcing all the bodypanels then you will have to budget a fair bit for tooling materials even if you are making only a couple of parts for yourself.

hey Scott

Will be using it for circuit, Drift and it's also my daily car when i'm onshore ha

Don't really have a budget to be honest, My main hobby is improving it, Driving it and now i'm going into the composite side of things it'll be better than buying ready made items and i can make my own.

Only downside is i don't have the room for a big autoclave so pre-preg items are out of bounds at the moment anyway.

Will need some guidance on split molds and securing the two items together so they don't rip off at high speed ha !

I think i will start start small so will be making some panels to replace dash items so i can mount gauges and diagnostics.

Got this in mind too for a rear seat delete

Alot of practice with tooling is needed and ill update this as much as possible as i go through the stages
