I assume you mean the tooling resin, not the tooling gelcoat.
It's no problem to leave the coupling coat overnight. Within 24 hours is ideal. If you wait longer than this then just scuff up the surface with 60 grit sandpaper and clean with acetone.

Hi guys, very quick / urgent question.
Can I leave the coupling coat to sure over night or does I HAVE to apply the tooling coat once it is the coupling coat is dry but still tacky.
In other words can I add the tooling gel coat to the coupling coat when it's completely hard?
Thanks in advance guys
Shane
