Hi,

I want to make a repair on a two stroke jet ski carbon exhaust system.
The exhaust operates to a maximum of 90-95°C since it is constantly water cooled.
I believe I need an epoxy system that will withstand these temperatures.

I thought this would do the job:

What I do not know is, at what extent do I get the temperature resistance, without post curing.
The system is supposed to be ok up to 180°C after full post curing, but how will it behave without it, since I do not have an oven this big in hand.

When epoxies are not post cured, they tend to go soft on the first application of heat. It is during this first heat cycle that the last portions of uncured resin cures and hardens off giving the resin its future heat resistance.  Hence why normally the post cure is done to ensure this happens under controlled conditions.

Thank you Warren.

What you say does make sence.
I have to find a way to post cure the exhaust.
