I started making my first mould with unimould system. I was shocked how fast the gelcoat started to cure with 2% ratio. Next time i must use 1.5% ratio of hardener. First gelcoat layer did had some clumps now. I hope they will not affect in final mould surface quality. Never had clumps before, so no idea. It started to make clumps under 10minutes.

They'll be fine straight away. I've made moulds from start to finish in 8 hours and put them to use straight away without issue. Not that I recommend that, no doubt they wouldn't have a very long life, I just did it to get out of a bind with our race car. I
dont use Unimould either, but there won't be a great difference between that and any other quality vinyl ester tooling system.
Basically yes, you can put them to use straight away.

Hi!
I have usually just made epoxy moulds, So I wanted to ask a question because I am not sure how this unimould system, differents from epoxy based mould. If I dont post cure the mould, how fast I can start making parts from the mould? If I release the mould from the plug, Am I ready to use the mould in next day? or will there be a styrene pockets or something? So basically I am asking how long it takes to have the mould ready for use.
