Group: Forum Members Posts: 1, Visits: 4	Hey guys, I am new to this forum and am keenly interested in learning more about composites (polymer based composites, carbon fiber and Kevlar in particular). I primarily look at things from an application point of view, however, I would love to learn about why things are done the way they are. A few of questions, 1) If any of the members would be kind enough to throw some light on a material relatively new to me, called Vectran, that I have looking up and studying. 2) Please distinguish between aluminium honeycomb and PP (polypropylene) hex in terms of their areas of application (both being used in a carbon fiber sandwich configuration). 3) While using Kevlar to provide strength to a structural member, is a hybrid Kevlar-cf weave preferred or a sandwich?
