Okay im sure this has been brought up but I couldnt find it with searching. These arent molds we made but ours do do this, but a lot less and since im new to mold making I thought I would ask.

The scenerio: We got a set of molds that where actually made terribly. The plugs had imperfections that could have easily been fixed. The biggest issue is that we are fighting is the mold has pinholes everywhere. We are building truck utility bodies and have to sand and polish everything to get them out. We tried to sand and polish the mold but are afraid that if we do any more wed open up more pinholes.

The question: Since Im new but wanting to help make the next set of any molds we make better. What are the options for reducing pinholes to a minimum or eliminate altogether? We us PE resins and tooling if that matters.

thanks
