Thanks, i appreciate your advice.
I was thinking of using it to do the base work, and then finish of by hand.

If it helps you decide, I have a 6" and a 2" DA sander which I use loads.  Ultimately if I want a nice finish I sand by hand after using the DA to do the donkey work.  You need to watch for rippling in the finish if you use a sander I've found but if you take care they can be a real labour saver.

Hi Ronny,
To be honest with you, anything that can be done with a sander can be done by hand and you will normally achieve a far nicer finish, I prefer hand finishes, but each to there own, quicker may not be better........
 kind regards

Hi
Im considering buying a water sander, to easen most of the tiresome sanding needed.
But after looking at many guides and how to's i realise that no one is using this, they sand by hand.
Are there any reason for this?
I've read something about the resin getting to hot, but if you are carefull with this, are there any other issues?

Also does anyone have any recommendations on any tools?
Im thinking about something like this:
