Hi All,

I'm hoping to make some climbing holds for home use and was hoping for some advice.

The plan is to make a mould and a few practice holds using the Starter Kit: https://www.easycomposites.co.uk/silicone-mould-resin-casting-starter-kit

Question is, am I buying the right thing? I believe polyurethane resin is used in the commercial manufacture of holds, but will I need any sort of filler and what should I use to colour the holds.

I'm happy to learn as I go but any advice that will steer me in the right direction would be great.

Cheers,

Chimp

Polyurethane resin come in many different types, there should be a material that is right to go with hopefully? Or maybe you could consider adding some chopped fibre glass into it also?

The pigments I use are always labelled as being suitable for epoxy or polyurethane.
